Equivalent cube compressive strength

Equivalent Cube Strength = Corrected Cylinder Strength × Dia Factor × 5/4
Correction factor F = 0.11(H/D) + 0.78 applies for H/D between 1.0 and 2.0; cores are normally drilled/capped to H/D ≈ 1.0–2.0. A commonly used acceptance guide treats the core-derived equivalent cube strength as satisfactory if it is not less than 85% of the specified grade strength (verify against your project specification / IS 516 (Part 5):2018, since this is a project/contract-specific criterion rather than a single universal IS 456 clause).
